Marina Al Qusoor


Emaar Properties PJSC, the world's number one property developer, has announced plans to develop the $1.88 billion Marina Al Qussor project on Tunisia's eastern coastline. The 442 hectare Marina development is located within the county of Sousse towards the southern end of the Golfe de Hammamet and will offer a mix of living options and tourist attractions with a large Marina Village at its centre.

Gate of the Mediterranean - City of the century


The project "Bab Al Moutawasset - Madinat Al-Qarn" (Gate of the Mediterranean - City of the century) at Lake south of the city of Tunis will be financed jointly by the group émirati real estate investment Sama Dubai and the state of Tunisia.

The Financial harbour



With an estimated development value of approximately $3bn, Tunis Financial Harbour marks the entry of GFH and its Clients into Tunisia, as it positions itself as one of the largest foreign investors in the country.
To be located in the Raoued North, Tunis and just 25 minutes from the Tunis Carthage airport, the Tunis Financial Harbour was formally unveiled to His Excellency Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, President of Tunisia at a special ceremony held in Presidential Carthage Place Tunisia. A Memorandum of Understanding between Gulf Finance House and the Government of Tunisia was signed earlier this year.
A member country of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Tunisia has been ranked as the most competitive country in North Africa by the World Economic Forum in the 2007 edition of its Global Competitiveness Report. It is also the first country on the southern coast of the Mediterranean to have concluded a partnership and cooperation agreement with the European Union, the main component of which is the establishment of a free-trade zone. Since 1987, it has recorded an average growth rate of 5% per annum.

Raffinerie Skhira



Regarded as the draft of the future, the new refinery would enable the Skhira to develop national production of refined petroleum products during the coming years. Tunis-The Daily The draft of the new refinery of Skhira has been an international tender launched during the first quarter of this year, for the selection of a developer who will be responsible for its construction and operation. The future refinery, which will benefit a specific tax regime, will be carried out in accordance with international standards the oil industry (the regime BOO) with an investment estimated at 2 billion dinars.

Bled El Ward



Emirati Al Maabar International Investments Company recently announced its plans to build one of its biggest projects in the African Continent. This project is 'Bled El Ward' (City Of Roses) on the northern rives of the capital Tunis, in Ariana, on a total area of 5 Thousands Hectares, with a total cost that reaches $10 Billion.

The project will result in the construction of a modern city made up with many components such as the International Health city, water channels in addition to tourist resorts, residencies, sport facilities, Golf fields, and areas for shopping, entertainments and open space.


The project derives its name from the old name of the Tunisian city, Ariana, which is known for its beautiful roses and flowers and its soft breeze.

Its design gets its name from the old architecture history. It is based on the most modernized architecture styles. Furthermore, it gives priority to the environment and nature as whole, with its sea and forests sides. It also provides 50 Km of beaches through its water channels.

The realisation of 'Bled El Ward' project will be on many phases. The first is 'Diar El Fel' zone that covers 300 hectares, 190 Hectares will be devoted to building. The development period of this project will be 5 years.

ENFIDHA ZINE EL ABIDINE BEN ALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT



In recent years Tunisia has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa. The attraction of the Sahara Desert, its temperate climate, bright skies, fine hotels and beach resorts, golf courses and other features make it a must-see country for adventure-seeking travelers, particularly Europeans.

In order to handle the increase in air traffic, Tunisia’s Ministry of Communications, Technology and Transport, along with the Tunisian Airport Authority (OACA), made the bold decision to erect a world-class airport on a 6,500-hectare site in Enfidha, in the heart of the country’s primary northeast tourist region. In being awarded the tender, TAV Construction and TAV Airports Holding beat out some of the world’s leading airport building and operation companies. The BOT tender, a 40-year concession, also includes the operation of the existing nearby Monastir Airport, about 60 km away, thereby eliminating any unnecessary competition between the two facilities.

Situated approximately 80 km south of the capital city Tunis, the new airport will be an architectural and aesthetic wonder, boasting of the latest technology and first class facilities and services, both for passengers and the airlines themselves.

The terminal will be over 90,000 m² area and is originally designed for a capacity of 7,000,000 passengers annually. With future expansion it will be able to accommodate up to 22,000,000 travelers per year by the middle of the century. The initial work will include a total connected apron area of 72,000 m² with a capacity to handle 18 aircraft. The remote apron area will cover 57,000 m², sufficient for 14 airplanes. The runway length will be 3,300 meters, while the width will total 75 meters. In all, 18 passenger boarding bridges will be built, along with check-in counters, baggage carousels, immigration and customs booths, etc. commensurate with the size of the airport. Every traveler’s need has been thought about in detail and the airport will feature shops, boutiques, restaurants, cafes and every other service imaginable. The finished work will ensure safe, comfortable and enjoyable travel for all who come to this enchanting land.

Construction on the new Enfidha International Airport began in June of 2007.. The operation contract will begin when the building work is finished, around October 2009.

The last round of the invitation to tender relating to the concession during forty years of the new airport of Enfidha was gained by Turkish operator TAV.

The concession relates to the construction and the exploitation of the airport of Enfidha and the exploitation of the airport of Monastir. The total amount is 400 million euros, according to the director of TAV, Mr. Haluk Bilgi. On the seven operators having taken part in the invitation to tender, four were finally, namely Aéroport of Nice (France), the Canadian SNC Lavelin, allemande Hochtief and the émirati Mudabele. The entry in activity of the airport of Enfidha is planned for 2009. The starting of the building site is envisaged in the next few weeks.

Sport City



The project will comprise two distinct phases, the first phase will consist of the building of residential district dubbed 'Cedar' adjacent to an 18 hole golf course and , composed of 49 mansions, two residential villages and ten high rise buildings.

In relation to the first part of the project, the group has signed agreements with Tunisian banks who will provide loan facilities to the Tunisian future owners of these residential units. Agreements were signed respectively with BIAT, ATB, BH, and Attijari Bank.

The second phase will hinge around the realization of a sports complex which will host sports clinics, a 10, 000 seats sports stadium, a 5,000 seats indoor stadium, Olympic swimming pools, gymnasiums, as well as different sport academies.

Pont Radès


The bridge project Radès-La Goulette, began in 2004 and ending in 2007, to link the northern suburbs to the southern suburbs of Tunis through 2 km from work and 12 km of double-track roads, with a bridge brace of 260 m, the first of its kind in Tunisia.

The City of Culture


The site of the City of Culture, a project launched in 2004 by the Tunisian authorities, has restarted after a stoppage of work for two years. A committee consisting of artists and intellectuals has been appointed to work on the content of
the establishment, which will open its doors in 2009. Located on the Avenue Mohammed V, the heart of Tunis, this space will cover eight hectares, will make available to the public seven workshops and studios,three large rooms, including a 1 800 seats, a library, a library, screening rooms
